Monday - Nov. 2
Math - Today we went over how to add fractions with unlike denominators. CW is to complete p. 37-41 in the Investigations Practice Book.
HW: p. 463 #1-16
Science - Today we reviewed evaporation and then looked at condensation - water vapor in the air changing from a gas into a liquid.
HW: answer #1-10 ques. on Condensation Connected Learning.
A comic strip assignment was given out today, but will primarily be done in class. It's due Friday by the end of the day.

Language Arts - Jr. Great Books - p. 10-11 - writing a key question/responding to a quote from the story, know the difference between the homophone spelling words #2-7, 11-14, 17-20.
All students - write your 5 questions for your report tonight (what will you want to answer as you research your weather topic?).

Tuesday - Oct. 6
HW: Lesson 4-10 p. 233 Practice # 6-18
Quiz tomorrow on lesson 1-5, 2-7 through 2-11 and modeling division of decimals.
Science- We wrapped up the unit on the Solar System chapter 2 today and finished discussing planets. Students should have almost all the study guide done by now. It is due Thursday.

Study for spelling test and vocabulary test this Friday (flashcards were handed out in class with words/definitions)

HW: do p. 2 of the Native American booklet on the Nez Perce, p. 3 on Kwakiutls (the back page of the booklet has rubric to define how your child will be graded).

Math - Today was an introduction to the order of operations

Language Arts - spelling p. 18, finish your success story, complete "Rule 3" on simple and complete subjects (have your child show you the difference between the simple and complete subject of a sentence - we've done it for 2 days now)
